Biography
Imran Ashraf received a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering majoring in Electronics and Communication Engineering from UET Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. In 2009, Imran got a scholarship from the HEC Pakistan and Top Talent scholarship from TU Delft, for Master studies in Embedded Systems. In October 2011, he joined the Computer Engineering Lab, at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, to pursue his Doctoral Research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Koen Bertels. After successfully defending his PhD in 2016, Imran started working as a post-doctoral researcher on the Intel-funded project on quantum computing research. In September 2018, Imran joined HITEC University as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department. Later on, Imran served the Computer Science Department, NUCES-FAST, Islamabad as an Associate Professor. Currently, Imran is working as post-doctoral researcher in CE Lab where the focus of the work is efficient application mapping on Digital Computation In Memory (CIM) architectures.
